Jervis Bay Model
This quiet pavilion sits lightly on the land, offering a place for meditation, art, and gathering. Positioned between the river and the shoreline, it bridges water and earth, creating a threshold that invites stillness and connection.
The structure is composed of low-maintenance materials that speak to time and weathering. Oxidised screens provide solar protection, filtering light while creating shifting patterns of shadow. Self-weathering steel and recycled timbers contribute to a layered material palette, their textures and patina suggesting a building that has long belonged to the site.
The design is restrained and deliberate, allowing the landscape to take precedence. Here, the design becomes a quiet frame for moments of reflection and shared experience.
